SA COVA DES MORO
(Habitable Navetas)

Sa Cova des Moro

LOCATION:

Situation

It is located in the top of the oriental cliff of the Barranc d'En Fideu, near the house of Son Mercer de Baix, to which you arrive for an earth road that leaves of the highway from Ferreries to Es Migjorn Gran (concretely, for the first one that you find to the right if you go toward this last town).

MUNICIPAL DISTRICT:

Ferreries.

DESCRIPTION:

It is the best conserved of a possible village of navetas (with diverse groupings of navetas backed the ones to the others).

It presents a plan in form of lengthened horseshoe, with walls of cyclopean stones, and conserves a part of the cover, built with flagstones sustained by three polilihtic columns of Mediterranean type (more narrow down than upwards) and, partly, for a slight approach of layers of the lateral walls.

At its side, backed, it seems there is another, in not well conservation state and without digging, and in their vicinities they are distinguished some more that only conserve the first layers of the walls.
